Hello everyone! So, I am here for one last time to talk about my experiences I had while taking this course during the term. Before taking it, I already had positive views about technology integration into education because of the age we are living in right now, therefore I cannot say it changed my ideas because I believe these two are now inextricable. However I feel the need to mention this: I have learned how it could be healthily integrated on the basis of pedagogical and educational principles and what kind of materials I could use through the assignments we have completed. We also learned many tools regarding language practice. This is specifically really important for countries in EFL context. In this sense, the course added an immense amount of knowledge to me.
When it comes to the tasks we did during the term, I have varying ideas about them. I think they would be really engaging and really fun for the students. Each one of them refer to students with different types of learning styles such as infographics for visual learners and podcasts for auditory learners. I find this aspect useful because as teachers we wll have many students with different styles and I believe it is our job to reach all of them and make sure they are learning. But I must admit that creating these were fun and challenging at the same time. I believe, these might be a little time-consuming for in-service teachers to work on. My personal favourite was the AI integrated task. I mentioned this view in its post as well however here it is again: engaging with a historical figure was a really different experience for me. I especially liked the way the bot adjusted its speech style.
I personally liked the course because I believe it is important to teach the future teacher candidates the integration of technology and material development. I guess I have no suggestions. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a nice summer!
